Long before the nerds and the geeks created virtual reality our
grandmother was already at it. Remember this story she loved to tell at dinner:
There was a poor family who could only afford to eat plain rice. To make their
meals more interesting the mother hung a piece of salt fish on the wall. The
children were told to look at the salt fish once and savour the flavour with
every mouthful of rice. One of the children piped out "Ma, little brother
looked at the salt fish twice." The mother replied "Hmm, he's eating
too much salt and that will be death of him".
