My recollection of the story is slightly
different.
Mother told daughter to Yen Hei, but she went
to her husband's household and Yen pei for months. Became very pale.
One day while cooking in the kitchen, her
mother-in-law who was very found of the bride voiced her concern about the
bride's complexion. After much talking, the bride confessed to having been told
by her mother to Yen Pei. Mother-in-law at first incredulous explained that the
bride's mother probably meant Yen Hei and told the bride not to Yen Pei anymore.
At that point the bride farted - it was such a hugh fart that the stone stove
was blown down on the mother-in-law who was sadly killed.
The bride was hauled to the County Court
charged with murdering her mother-in-law. The judge listened to her story with
disbelief and was about to pass the death sentence when the bride announced that
she had an urge to fart.
The judge commanded her to fart, which she
did and blew the judge off his seat to everyone's astonishment.
She was subsequently found not guilty.
